A reasonable early walk on Holdstone down this morning provided a migration spectacle. Birds coming in from ssw, and all moving towards nne, across the wind coming from sse. Flocks of 100+ of many species moved through for 3 hours that I ended up being there.redwing, starling, fieldfare, chaffinch, goldfinch flying low tumbling over the heather. Pretty sure a flock of plovers..
Plenty of wrens, meadow pipits, skylarks and stonchats singular kestral and peregrine.
