22 members joined the East Devon Branch field trip to Exminster marshes this morning. The walk started with a sighting of a Peregrine perched on one of the electricty pylons. The marshes themselves were quite dry, with many scattered Lapwing, Curlew and Black-tailed Godwit. A lone Fieldfare on one of the fields was a first for this winter for many of us. By my reckoning, 51 species were seen altogether.
