At lunchtime today the three Ruff and the Reeve were showing very well next the hide. They were extremely active and involved in what I first took to be some kind of display behaviour but they were actually snapping at midges rising up from the sedges. Also there was a single Avocet and a Whimbrel with a good number of Godwits including a few Bar-tails.
Someone has left a monopod on the bench in the hide. If that was you, another visiting birder said he would take it to the RSPB shop at Dart's Farm, and you'll be able to collect it from there..
