From the Slapton end of the Ley: 6 Goldeye, Tufted Ducks, Gadwalls, uncountable numbers of Coots and 2 Great Crested Grebes. Along the footpath: 1 Firecrest and several Redwings. Walked over to Torcross and half way along the path (road side) a Marsh Harrier giving good views flying over the reed beds. From the Torcross hide: 3 Black-necked Grebes. On my return leg a Water Rail by the bridge near the Slapton end entrance. Cettis Warblers calling all around. Chiffchaff and Reed buntings the other birds of note.
