At last, caught up with the Surf Scoter this morning, seen not far off Crabrock (still needed scope) with 3 Velvets and 200+ Common Scoters, slowly moving towards Scabbacombe head. Also 12 Common Gulls feeding off the Southdown side of the beach. Later while looking out of the hide with David Pakes, we saw a hang glider drift over the marsh and spook over 45+ Snipe, which flew around and up and down the valley, but alas not Jacks with them.
