Sixteen members had a delightful walk up the valley to Avon Dam in sunny weather. Sighted Sparrowhawk from car park. Dipper showed well on the river. Plenty of Tits and Robins in the trees and bushes including one Treecreeper. Some of the group had a view of a male Ring Ouzel, otherwise several Blackbirds and Mistle Thrush showing well. One Whinchat seen and a Green Woodpecker. Constant flow of Swallows down the valley from the dam plus a few House Martins. Kestrel, Buzzards and Raven sighted plus possible White Wagtail at the dam with several Goldcrest, Chiffchaff and Jays. Thirty species in total. Thanks to Jonathan for leading.
